LiftLog ("we", "our", or "the App") is a strength training tracking application developed by an individual developer. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

By using LiftLog, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB (browser storage):

• Workout records (exercises, sets, weights, reps, dates)
• Personal records (PRs) and training history
• App settings and preferences
• Custom exercises you create

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.

2.2 Account Data (Pro Users)

If you subscribe to LiftLog Pro, we collect and store:

• Email address – used for authentication and account recovery
• Recovery code – used to restore your Pro subscription
• Backup data – encrypted workout data stored on our servers

2.3 Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store your payment information. All payment processing is handled by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), our Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase:

• Payment details are processed securely by Creem
• We only receive confirmation of your subscription status
• Creem's privacy policy applies to payment data: creem.io/privacy

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our service
• Authenticate your account and sync your data across devices
• Process your Pro subscription (via Creem)
• Send important service notifications (to your email)
• Respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

Your primary workout data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless cloud backup is enabled.

4.2 Cloud Backup (Pro Users)

Cloud backups are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Authentication tokens for API access
• Regular security updates

4.3 No Guarantee

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Local data: Remains on your device until you clear your browser data or delete the app.

Cloud backup data: Retained while your Pro subscription is active. After subscription expiration, backup data may be deleted after 90 days.

Account data: Email and subscription records are retained for the duration of your account. You can request deletion at any time.

• Access – Request a copy of your personal data
• Export – Download your workout data in portable format
• Delete – Request deletion of your account and associated data
